Veterans Day falls on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2026, and Las Vegas casinos and community groups are lining up free meals, room discounts and events for veterans and active-duty service members. Here’s what’s confirmed so far, plus what you need to bring.

Deal Breakdown

  • Silverton Casino Lodge โ€“ Veterans Eat Free (Nov. 9โ€“13): Members of Silverton’s Military & Veteran Salute program get a complimentary meal all week. Nov. 10 adds a free hat, and on Nov. 11 slot players earn 10X points on reels and 2X on video poker.
  • The Resort at Summerlin โ€“ Free Lunch Buffet (Nov. 11): Veterans eat free at Market Place Buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This one is for veterans only; spouses and dependents aren’t included.
  • M Resort โ€“ PENN Heroes: Verified active-duty military, veterans and first responders can save up to 30% on room rates, plus discounts at participating restaurants and shops.
  • MGM Rewards and Caesars Rewards: Both loyalty programs run year-round military perks. MGM gives eligible service members and veterans Pearl status, and Caesars’ Salute program upgrades eligible veterans to Platinum, which includes free parking at select properties.

Free Events Worth Knowing

  • VETFEST: Saturday, Nov. 7, 9 a.m.โ€“3 p.m. at Downtown Summerlin, showcasing veteran-owned businesses.
  • Henderson Veterans Day Ceremony: Saturday, Nov. 7, 10 a.m. at Water Street Plaza, where new names are added to the Henderson Veterans Memorial Wall.
  • Las Vegas Veterans Day Parade: Wednesday, Nov. 11, downtown, starting around 10 a.m. near 4th Street and Garces Avenue. Listings show slightly different start times, so arrive early.
  • Glittering Lights at Las Vegas Motor Speedway: Free admission on Veterans Day, 5โ€“9 p.m., for current and former military and their families.

How to Claim It

Bring a valid military ID, VA card or DD Form 214 everywhere. For the casino offers you’ll also need the property’s players card: Silverton’s Discovery Rewards with the Military & Veteran Salute enrollment, and a Rampart Rewards card at The Resort at Summerlin. Sign up a day or two early so you’re not stuck in line at the rewards desk on the holiday. The M Resort, MGM and Caesars perks require verification through each company’s military program before you book or visit.

Is It Worth It?

Yes, especially if you’re local. The Summerlin buffet and Silverton’s week-long free meal are the best values, and Silverton spreads its offer over five days so you can skip the Nov. 11 crowds. If family members are coming along, note that Summerlin’s free lunch covers only the veteran. Pair a free meal with the downtown parade in the morning or Glittering Lights that evening for a full day that costs next to nothing.
