The NHRA’s penultimate stop of 2026 wrapped up Sunday, Nov. 1, at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with Jordan Vandergriff (Funny Car), Doug Kalitta (Top Fuel) and Dallas Glenn (Pro Stock) taking home wins at the MOPAR NHRA Las Vegas Nationals. Strong winds kept the Pro Stock Motorcycle final from being run, so that title-deciding race moves to the season finale.

Sunday’s winners

  • Funny Car: Vandergriff beat Ron Capps in the final with a 3.873-second run at 331.36 mph, his fourth win of the season. Points leader Matt Hagan went out in the second round to J.R. Todd, leaving Vandergriff 39 points back.
  • Top Fuel: Kalitta ran 3.658 seconds at 338.60 mph to beat Leah Pruett for his fifth win of 2026 and the 64th of his career. He knocked out teammate and points leader Shawn Langdon in the semifinals but still trails him by 107 points.
  • Pro Stock: Glenn cut a .002 reaction time and ran 6.587 seconds at 206.26 mph to beat Troy Coughlin Jr., his sixth win of the year. He now leads Matt Hartford by 87 points.
  • Pro Stock Motorcycle: No winner because of excessive wind. Richard Gadson leads teammate Gaige Herrera by 55 points, and their postponed final is set for 1 p.m. PST on Saturday, Nov. 14, during qualifying at Pomona.

What’s next

Every championship heads to the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona, Calif., in about two weeks. That race pays points and a half, so Vandergriff and Kalitta both still have a shot at overtaking the leaders.

What it means for locals and visitors

The Las Vegas Nationals once again brought big crowds out to the speedway in the northeast valley. With the event finished, traffic on Las Vegas Boulevard North and I-15 near Speedway Boulevard should be back to normal this week. Drivers heading to the airport and the Strip, keep in mind that the SEMA Show is coming up next, Nov. 3–6, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
