The Short Version
- Easiest free money: Fontainebleau gives $10 in free slot play just for joining.
- Biggest ceiling: The Resort at Summerlin offers new Rampart Rewards members up to $1,000 in free slot play, with qualifying play.
- Best shortcut: MGM’s Status Match Challenge can upgrade you straight to Gold or Platinum.
Players clubs are free, and the first day is when casinos are most generous. If you’re going to play anyway, sign up somewhere new and let the welcome bonus pay you for it. These are the best current offers.
Fontainebleau Rewards
New members get $10 in slot free credit on joining. Earn 250 Play Points within 72 hours and you also get a $50 food-and-beverage credit.
Virgin Hotels Cherry Rewards
From Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, new members who earn 250 base points within 24 hours of signing up get $25 in free slot play.
Circa, The D and Golden Gate (Club One)
The New Member Challenge pays $5 in free slot play for every 50 qualifying points you earn in your first 24 hours, with added rewards as your points climb.
Boyd Rewards
At 10 Boyd casinos in Las Vegas, new members earn prizes by hitting Tier Credit levels: 10 credits for $5 in Boyd Play or food credit, 30 for $10, 60 for $15 and 100 for $20. Boyd advertises up to $50 in total. You get one prize per day, and prizes expire after 48 hours. The participating casinos are Aliante, California, Cannery, Cadence Crossing, Fremont, Gold Coast, Main Street Station, The Orleans, Sam’s Town and Suncoast.
The Resort at Summerlin (Rampart Rewards)
New members can earn up to $1,000 in free slot play based on qualifying play. That’s the biggest number on this list, but it scales with what you wager, so don’t treat it as free money.
MGM Rewards: Skip the Line
Not a sign-up bonus, but just as valuable. MGM’s Status Match Challenge lets you show a valid VIP card from an eligible competing casino program at an MGM Rewards desk for an instant upgrade to Gold or Platinum. Active-duty, Guard, Reserve, retired and prior-service military members, plus eligible spouses, get an automatic upgrade to Pearl.
How to Claim It
- Sign up in person at the rewards desk and bring a photo ID.
- Ask the desk exactly how many points you need and by when. The clock often starts at sign-up.
- Activate any free play at a kiosk or at the machine before it expires.
Is It Worth It?
The offers with no play requirement, like Fontainebleau’s $10, are pure upside. For everything else, figure out what it costs you to earn the points. Never chase a bonus with money you wouldn’t have played anyway.
