Two men accused in a deadly robbery at a southeast Las Vegas business earlier this month have been arrested in Minnesota, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
What police say happened
Police said officers were called around 11:40 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, to a shooting at a shared business complex in the 3400 block of East Flamingo Road. Officers found a male employee who had been shot; he died at the scene.
According to police, three men went into the complex and tried to rob a business. Police said the employee tried to stop the robbery and lunged at one of the suspects, who then shot him.
The arrests
After Metro detectives identified the suspects, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office arrested two of them in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Tuesday, Oct. 27, police said. Both were booked into the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center and are awaiting extradition to Las Vegas.
Police said they face charges including open murder with use of a deadly weapon, four counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, four counts of first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery. Police have not said whether the third suspect is in custody. Charges are accusations; the men are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
