Updated 10 a.m. Pacific, Thursday, Oct. 29, 2026. Here is the latest confirmed incident on Las Vegas roads this morning.
Man dies in pickup rollover on I-15 off-ramp to Flamingo Road
A man died early Thursday when a pickup truck rolled over on the southbound Interstate 15 off-ramp to eastbound Flamingo Road, just west of the Las Vegas Strip, the Nevada Highway Patrol said. Troopers were called around 2:35 a.m. The crash involved only the pickup, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released his name or what caused the rollover, and said more information would follow a preliminary investigation.
During the investigation, the eastbound Flamingo off-ramp was fully closed and the two right lanes (No. 4 and No. 5) of southbound I-15 near Flamingo were shut down, causing morning delays near the Strip. Officials had not announced a reopening time in the latest reports. Sources: News 3 Las Vegas, FOX5 Las Vegas.
Driver tip: If you are heading to Strip resorts from southbound I-15, check NVRoads / 511 before you go. If the Flamingo ramp is still closed, use the Spring Mountain Road/Sands Avenue exit or continue to Tropicana Avenue, and allow extra time for airport and resort pickups.
